I swear lizards are attracted to me!
When I got back from Bandar just now and was about to get my towel in my room, I found a baby lizard on the ceiling in my room. Instinctively, I screamed and ran out of my room while shouting for my maid. That was the third time I found a baby lizard in my room when there was no possible ways how it could get into my room. My windows are always shut tight and my door is closed all the time too.
My yeepoo's theory is that there is a Momma Lizard which is now hiding in my air-conditioner and it has recently laid eggs which hatched. Hence, baby lizards are now popping out from the air-conditioner whenever they feel like it....................................GREAT!
Later on, after dinner, I was entering the Guest's Room where I previously dumped my luggage in. I switched on the lights and saw something dark fluttering.... Or possibly moving really quickly? I turned to look. . . OMG! There, scampering off onto the upper cupboard of the wadrobe, was a HUGE FLOWERY-PATTERNED DARK LIZARD! I never in my whole life, screamed that loud because of a lizard. It was really huge and *shudders*
Ook, I think I have enough of "lizard talk" today.
Annemarie - off now.

Ugh! My brain is somehow programmed to waking up at 7 a.m. every single morning no matter what time I go to bed the previous night. How irritating. Zzz. So anyway, since I'm up now, I might as well do something productive. I don't feel like doing anything that requires a high brain power cause I just can't be bothered to concentrate so much now. So I decided to just upload a summary of my summer holidays.
Can you believe how fast time flies? I mean it feels as if it's just yesterday since I've landed in Brunei when in fact, it's almost been two months. Oh my goat! Soon, I'll be attending classes in school (which honestly, I don't mind) and stressing out over tests or exams (this, I mind). Oh well. That's life, I guess. Anyway, back to my summer holidays.
SUMMER 'o9
Once I arrived home, it felt a bit awkward. Don't get me wrong. My home still gives me the whole warm homey feelings and all. But there's just something funny about how we have to remove our shoes when we enter the house and how the floors aren't carpeted and are mostly tiled so I was practically sliding around the house on the first day back. Heh. But I got used to it. Now, I don't want to leave it again. But well, I have to.
Just enjoying my home.
Missed my piano.

I don't miss HIM. Haha! Okay, that would be mean. I do miss him -ish. Well, I miss bullying him. Annoyingly, he grew one head taller than me over the past 10 months.
Then there were several outings made. Like, P.A.L. went to ayamku seafood restaurant as our first gathering and for the second gathering, we were to ayamku restaurant. It was nice. Then, Peng had to start working so we didn't get to meet up much. We did manage to meet up at the KB Perayaan one night which was a bit sad but we also walked to KB Town from the Perayaan that night which was cool. Heeh.
Just last night, we had another hang-out at WYWY which was extremely awesome except the part where the waitress ignored us for quite a while and wouldn't take our orders and also when she forgot to write down some of our orders or heardly wrongly and gave me the wrong drink. But it was still fun how we talked about random stuff for almost 3-4 hours! Fun fun fun!
Then, there was the BruMounties Reunion at Empire Hotel during the end of July which was awesome.

My teammate (Nina) and I kayaking. We crashed countless times into the edges of the fake beach. We crashed once into Chia Yi's kayak. We even got ourselves stuck on this stone steps to this mini bar where I had to use my paddle to push our kayak back into the water. We make a great team, don't you think? =D

Wana and I waiting for our table to be set. Behind those forced smile of happiness, we were actually dying of hunger.
.jpg)
AND THE FIREWORKS BEGIN! They were really pretty. Meanwhile, back in the restaurant, our food arrives. *Nice timing*
.jpg)
Next morning: This buffet was the cheapest and most worth it ever! We stuffed ourselves with as much food as we possibly can.
.jpg)
This was how we all felt like when we were leaving. With exception of Wana who will be staying there another night with her family.
The next big event was the Wxcked Science 2nd Gathering. It was the UK scholars turn to organise this. So our plan was to have a huge steamboat, karaokes, and a MUST HAVE IN UK PARTIES: disco.
Disco Time.
The next day, a couple of my friends and I went to Escapade just to eat and hang around. It was silly. Hehe. Oh! I got to play cooking mama on Chan's DS there! Wee! I love cooking mama!
After that day, I started my work attachment for two weeks in Panaga. It was awesome. I've learnt so much stuff. I've even got to see cool stuff like stitches being done on gum. Weehehe! That is one of the main highlights during my work experience. That was beyond awesome!
Of course, my guy does pop up at my front door every now and then. Hehehehehe. This summer was full of first times.
.jpg)
First-time just the two of us went to BSRC to play badminton. Picture above shows a before and after shuttlecock.

Okay, that was not the first-time he plays twister with my brother. But well, it was interesting as I simply made up the coordinates.

Have you ever watched your tongue become "alive" in the mirror?
I did.
It was the most fascinating thing ever!
This may sound gross to you but in the mirror, my tongue looked so much like a slug wiggling in my mouth that I found it so amusing and ended up laughing by myself.
I. am. insane. Help?
I did.

Right before Summer Holiday started, we had two quite big events. There was the Boarders' Summer Party which was pretty fun. Basically, we had some junk food and then well, just have fun. Pictures below.
Then we had the College BBQ which was so-so, I guess. It would have been alright if my food had not been burnt until charcoal black.
We were still hungry after the BBQ. Plus, Dina wanted to treat us one last time before school ends. So we had...
Plus, we got Ice Peach Tea!
After half-term, we had our exams so we were basically just revising and all. After exams were done, we had normal lessons. Sigh. So there wasn't really much happening then. Well, got some big events but I wasn't involved in it. Anyway, here are just some random pictures taken.
Then we also had Wenty's birthday party which was great fun. We had fast food including tons of chips and halal fried chickens. So it was awesome. All of us could eat the food. And all of us had fun. =)
Then, of course, there was my 18th birthday. I know this is supposed to be a HUGE thing. But being 18 isn't any different from being 17 to me. So it was no big deal, I guess. I still feel 17 despite the fact that I am already 18. Well, except the time when people no longer call me underage. Heh. Anyway, I don't have much pictures for that occasion as my laptop crashed. So I couldn't ask for the pictures from Chia Yi. But long story short, it was very busy day for me. I had normal lessons for school, then I had to attend the college special, then there was the Summer Rock Concert in which the other girls and I performed a choreographed dance to Let Me/Fire by Rihanna/2NE1. And finally, I got a surprise from the BruMounties. It was awesome! So thanks, you guys. Although it's like so late sudah. But thanks again! =p
The humongous birthday badge that my sister asked Chia Yi to buy which I refused to wear around. BUT I did wore a tinier one from Peng =p
Presents
Hello again to all my loyal readers. I can't believe I haven't blog since 21st May. I'm truly sorry about that. Well, I had been busy with exams and everything. And after exam, I honestly wanted to update this blog of mine BUT my laptop crashed... ON MY BIRTHDAY! What a nice treat! *Note the sarcasm*
Ok... Lets see. After 21st May, there was half-term which I spent majority of my time revising for Biology exam. But anyway, that didn't stop us from vaining, and going to movies and shopping for a day. Us, Mounties, also got a room for all of us which is awesome. Well, kinda. Poor Wana had to move out so the six of us could all fit into one room. Anyway, pictures taken during half-term below.

Heya readers! I'm currently on a break from revising. FYI, I'm in the middle of the exam period right now. So anyway, I thought I do a quick update on the events that happened during the past few weeks. We had this May Bank Holiday thing from the 1st til the 4th. Over that weekend, a couple of my friends and I stayed in my other friend's B&B. It wasn't bad. It was actually pretty good. It was also that same weekend when I was permanently brainwashed by my Korean addict friends. What a great weekend I had!
A Glimpse Of The B&B
The next weekend was Foundation Weekend. It's the time when parents of The Mount School come over to the school to see what the students are up to. In the morning, we have a very formal meeting. Then in the afternoon we split into different groups and do our thang.
The Bruneians all primped up before the meeting
In the Hall, waiting for the meeting to commence
After the meeting ended, we headed back to the College House and changed to something more casual. Then we started to set up our BRUNEI STALL.
All set up and ready to begin our selling
Our stall turned out pretty good
Group photo at the end of the day ♥
A few days after that event, it was Dzafirah's 18th Birthday! We had dinner at this Bangla Cuisine Restaurant. We all had a great time.
Us, all waiting for the arrival of the birthday girl
Right side of the table
On the verge of tears due to hungriness
Wana all happy with her 'saviour of life'
And after that, study leave begins. Dil and I were so bored once so we started vaining. But not a lot. We're not that vain.
